Recitals are given in The Central Hall of the Dolphin Centre.

Accessibility - There is direct access to the hall from Bull Wynd, the one-way street accessible from Horsemarket or Houndgate. At this entrance, there is the alternative of stairs or a lift directly to the hall, on the second floor.

Refurbishment work is taking place at the Dolphin Centre from February 2026, which is due to be completed by early May.  In the meantime, for the March and April recitals, access to Central Hall will be through the Bull Wynd door only. There will be no route through the Bistro from the main Horsemarket entrance. Please note that the toilets next to the Bistro will be closed during the refurbishment, but the three toilets on the second floor, adjacent to Central Hall, will be open.

The 16 Horsemarket café (the ground floor part of the Bistro) will be open before the recital and during the interval. It is reached by going outside through the Bull Wynd door and round the corner into Horsemarket. The staff there will take interval orders before the concert. If you prefer, you can have drinks in take-out cups.

Central Hall - The "shoe-box" shape of this Victorian hall provides an excellent acoustic for our recitals and our Steinway model B is an ideal match. We space the seating carefully to ensure that all audience members have a good view of the pianist and continue to use a "socially distanced" seating plan.
